‘Naatu Naatu’ Wins Golden Globe For Best ORRRiginal Song. We Wanna Dance Dance Dance!

The moment that Indians had kept their fingers crossed for finally came true! The hit song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the movie RRR has gone on to win the Best Original Song Award at the Golden Globes! SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus had grabbed eyeballs globally for getting nominated at the Golden Globe Awards in two categories – Best Original Song and Best Non-English Language Film. RRR’s win is considered histoRRRic even though it did not bag the award in the latter category. Ram Charan and Jr NTR had flown in to attend the award ceremony and represent the film on the global platform.

RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ wins big at the Golden Globes 

What makes us all Indians all the more proud about RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’s’ win at the Golden Globe Awards is that it is the first Asian song to have won this award. The official Twitter handle of the movie shared this great news with the world. Sharing a picture of M M Keeravani, the composer of ‘Naatu Naatu’ picking up the coveted trophy and beaming at the camera, the Twitter handle wrote, “INDIAAAAAAAA…. THIS IS THE BEST NEWS to WAKE UP TO!! #NaatuNaatu becomes the first ever Asian song to win a #GoldenGlobes . ??? #RRRMovie.”

Keeravani dedicated this award to SS Rajamouli and also thanked him for believing in him. Congratulations came pouring in for RRR’s team on the historic win! Indians especially were super proud of this achievement and were immensely happy about the recognition that Indian cinema got at the Golden Globes.

It was the Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega who presented the award to M M Keeravani in the Best Original song category. The team erupted into cheers and hoots when ‘Nattu Naatu’ was declared the winner.

RRR has gone on to win the hearts of the international audience as well. Game Of Thrones actor Nathalie Emmanuel and The Vampire Diaries star Joseph Morgan have also showered praises on this Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt starrer and appreciated the film. This historical period drama movie lost in the Best Non-English Language Film category to the film Argentina, 1985
