Oscars 2023: Indian Documentaries ‘All That Breathes’, ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ Bag Nominations
Proud moment for us!The much-awaited Oscars nominations are here. This year is an important one for India, and we have many reasons to believe so. After RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ Golden Globe win, the chances of it being nominated for the Oscars increased all the more, and we are not disappointed. But apart from that, Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes also made it to this year’s Oscars nominations for Best Documentary Feature Film and we cannot keep calm. The documentary stars Saleek Rehman, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad. Wait, there’s more, The Elephant Whisperers, by Kartiki Gonsalves has also been nominated this year in the Documentary Short Film category.

The Oscars Nomination event started at 7 PM in India, and all eyes were glued to it. But our expectations have not been let down, because All That Breathes has officially made it to the Oscars 2023 nominations. It will be competing against other documentary feature films like All The Beauty And The Bloodshed, Fire Of Love, A House Made Of Splinters and Navalny. All That Breathes was also the first Indian film to win the most prestigious prize for documentaries at Cannes Film Festival and also got the title of the best documentary at the Sundance Film Festival. The film clearly has a lot of potential to get India its first Oscars too.
