Her fans were left heartbroken when she retired from tennis in 2020 but she does keep them updated on what goes on in her life through her Instagram handle. On April 19, Maria Sharapova celebrated her 35th birthday and also shared a very happy piece of news with her fans! She announced that she is expecting her first child with her partner Alexander Gilkes.

In December 2020, Maria announced that she has gotten engaged to her beau Alexander Gilkes who is a British businessman. She revealed this news with a series of photos and videos on her Instagram handle.
