Madame Tussauds London Unveiled Zendaya’s Wax Statue. They Didn’t Get The Assignment Right

Madame Tussauds London Unveiled Zendaya’s Wax Statue. They Didn’t Get The Assignment Right

Madame Tussauds has been acknowledging the work of artists across the globe with specially made wax statues gracing the museum. From Amitabh Bachchan to Jackie Chan, celebrities find great pride in unveiling their statues for visitors from around the world. And now adding her name to the list of legendary artists is Gen-Z star, Zendaya. Yes, well-deserved and our ankhon ka taara, the Euphoria star will join a star-studded line-up in the museum’s Award party zone. Sharing the first glimpse of her life-size statue, museum manager Tim Walters expressed in a statement, “She exudes cool. Not only that, she uses her celebrity status to join conversations thoughtfully, on important social issues. She is unapologetically herself – and we, along with her fans, love that about her. With rumours circulating that Zendaya is soon to become a Londoner herself, the timing to pay homage to her at Madame Tussauds London could not be better.”  Ya, that’s true! The star’s sculpture has finally taken a seat alongside personalities like Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after her measurements and references were taken in the year 2015.

While the honourable gesture leaves celebs and their fans elated, what at times can turn into a nightmare is when they don’t turn out to be the best in shape. I mean, we’re all happy about the honour, but we’re sorry to say, that’s not how our beautiful Z looks. The wax statue features Zendaya in a neon pink pantsuit, side-parted hair secured in a low ponytail, subtle makeup and well-defined eyebrows. Criticising the look and of course, the waxwork, many of Zendaya’s fans came rushing to the comments section and said, “Zendaya in Madame Tussauds wax figure, But with Kylie Jenner lips,” “I’m sorry but that’s not Zendaya Madame Tussauds missed again,” “Madame Tussauds London did Zendaya dirty. She is so gorgeous and powerful, she deserves better,” and “Zendaya Kardashian??”

And we truly agree, I mean from her beautiful features to her dress, everything seems awkward and totally calls for being a non-Zendaya statue. I mean, out of all her iconic outfits, why this candy-pop pink pantsuit. I really wanna know, why? This is definitely not the first time that the Spider-Man star has got a waxwork under her name, her statue was earlier placed in Madame Tussauds Orlando, which looks great, unlike this one. But all things said and done, the cooks have spoiled the broth, and all can say is that they didn’t get the assignment pretty right. The Spider-Man star’s wax figure will be officially unveiled at the museum, located in Baker Street, London on February 11, 2022.
