Lisa Kudrow On Friends
During a chat with The Times of London, Lisa Kudrow, best known as Phoebe Buffay on the sitcom, said that the writers ambushed actors for forgetting lines. Not just this, this happened the same to them for not getting the response the writers wanted from the audience. The actor said, “The guys would be up late discussing their s*xual fantasies about Jennifer (Aniston) and Courteney (Cox). It was intense.” Kudrow stated that there was ‘mean stuff’ going on BTS. As per the actor, the writers would say lines like, “Can’t the b**h f*g read?” and “She f***d up my line.”
The reel-life Phoebe Buffay described this treatment as brutal. However, she said that she didn’t pay much attention to it because a lot of it happened behind closed doors. Kudrow has acted in several successful films, including Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997), Easy A (2010), The Opposite of S*x (1998), Analyse This (1999), The Girl on the Train (2016), and Booksmart (2019). Her most recent theatrical release was the American black horror comedy The Parenting (2025).
