‘Happy Family’ Trailer: Ratna Pathak Shah As The Savage Granny In The Dholakia Family Will Be A Treat For Sure!

Indian families are the most unique ones. They will fight, and get angry with each other but will also love each other equally. They will go through all the ups and downs together, and for a long time, India has had a culture of joint families too. Now, gradually that is ending, however, there is a new series coming soon on Prime Video titled Happy Family that will bring back the lost essence of joint families onscreen and will show the real and dysfunctional family of India. The series stars veteran actors like Ratna Pathak Shah, Raj Babbar, Atul Kulkarni, and Ayesha Jhulka among others. The trailer of the Happy Family is here and is directed by Aatish Kapadia and JD Majethia.
Happy Family’s tagline says “Conditions Apply” and looks like the series will stand true to it’s tagline. Happy Family wil revolves around the story of the Dholakias, a Gujarati family, in which Ratna Pathak Shah will play the role of the grandmother, and Raj Babbar will play the grandfather. From the trailer, we know that the family is a happy one however there are moments of clash too. Looks like the character of Ratna Pathak Shah will be an interesting one in the sense that she is a grandmother living in this modern world but has rooted and traditional principles. This clash is bound to create some hilarious as well as serious moments in the series. The Happy Family trailer takes us through the comic moments in the lives of the Dholakia family and the generational difference that will happen between them while they all try and stick together. In this four-episode series, looks like even serious moments will be shown in a heartwarming way.

It will be great to see Ratna Pathak Shah play the savage, hilarious grandmother bringing some memories from the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai days. Raunaq Kamdar, Meenal Sahu, Sanah Kapur, and Ahaan Saboo will also be seen in this series. All the actors in this series are experts in the acting field, so moments of disappointment are hard to expect here. From the trailer, we know that there will have good punch lines too. Happy Family will release on March 10, with two new episodes every Friday.
