Fatima Sana Shaikh Starts Her Prep To Play Indira Gandhi In Vicky Kaushal Starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’
A couple of weeks ago, Kangana Ranaut took social media by storm when she revealed that she has onboarded an Oscar-winning makeup and hairstyle artist – David Malinowski – to transform her into Indira Gandhi for her upcoming movie Emergency. And now, it is Fatima Sana Shaikh who is all geared up to play Indira Gandhi in the upcoming movie that is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw – Sam Bahadur. In the movie, the actress will be essaying the role of India’s first female Prime Minister. The movie also stars Vicky Kaushal who is playing the lead role in Sam Bahadur.
On July 8, Fatima Sana Shaikh, who recently received a lot of love for her work in the anthology, Modern Love Mumbai, took to her Instagram to share a glimpse of her prep sessions for her upcoming movie with Vicky Kaushal – Sam Bahadur. The film is directed by the very famous director Meghna Gulzar.

Sharing a pic from her prepping session for Sam Bahadur, Fatima Sana Shaikh wrote, “Sinking my teeth in #SamBahadur @meghnagulzar” The actress will be playing India’s first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the biographical movie of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

Earlier in an interview, Fatima Sana Shaikh said that to prepare for her role as former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi in Sam Bahadur, she has been watching former Prime Minister’s interviews and reading a lot of papers on her. She further said that even though this is something that won’t be seen on the big screen, she is really interested in learning about significant figures that changed history.
On the work front, the Dangal actress is currently also working on Dhak Dhak – a road adventure movie that is produced by Taapsee Pannu. The movie also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, and Sanjana Sanghi.
