With the changing times, Bollywood has given us several powerful narratives and some strong female characters who broke free from the shackles of society. We’ve seen a number of female-centric stories focusing on women empowerment in Bollywood’s bid to bring about a change. Viacom18 Studios has given us films like Kahaani, Queen, Mary Kom and so many more. And now the production giant is all set to team up with Taapsee Pannu’s Outsider Films and BLM Pictures for yet another female-centric film. Directed by Tarun Dudeja, Dhak Dhak stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi. The film follows the story of four women and their life-changing journey as they ride all the way to the highest motorable pass in the world. Dhak Dhak is co-produced by Taapsee Pannu, Pranjal Khandhdiya and Ayush Maheshwari and co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja. The film is currently under production and will hit the theatres near us in 2023.

Taking to Instagram, Taapsee Pannu announced the film while sharing a picture of Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi on a bike as well as another picture of herself along with the co-producers as they pose with their bikes. “Join the ride of a lifetime with Dhak Dhak, as four women ride to the highest motorable pass in the world on an exciting journey of self-discovery,” read the caption.
