ED Says Jacqueline Fernandez Can Easily Flee The Country, Assertively Fights Against Her Bail Request
Ever since the conman Sukesh Chandrashekar was arrested, many names of Bollywood celebs had popped out. One of the was Jacqueline Fernandez. The actress, who allegedly had a relationship with the conman, admitted to receiving gifts like Gucci and Chanel bags, Louis Vuitton shoes and jewellery, Gucci gym wear, and luxury cars. Jacqueline Fernandez was also named as an accused in a charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the extortion case against Sukesh Chandrashekar. After which she was granted interim bail. But now, the ED has spoken against her in the court that is hearing the request for Jacqueline Fernandez’s bail.
The Enforcement Directorate has already issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) in airports to stop Jacqueline Fernandez from leaving the country and told the court that she should not be granted bail for her charges linked to an Rs. 200 crore extortion case that involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. ED argued she is not short of money and can flee the country anytime.

The main argument of the Enforcement Directorate against the actress getting bail was that she tried to escape the country, did not corporate in the investigation involving Sukesh Chandrashekar, and that she faces some serious allegations. To this, the court questioned why Jacqueline Fernandez had not been arrested so far and why was ED adopting a “pick-and-choose policy”.

As per reports, the ED also said, “We have not seen ₹ 50 lakh in cash in our entire life but Jacqueline frittered away ₹ 7.14 crore for fun. She has tried every trick in the book to try and escape because she has enough money”. The department’s entire argument pointed to the fact that the court should not grant her bail.
It seems as though the court might announce the decision of whether to grant bail to Jacqueline Fernandez or not, tomorrow. Only time will tell where this case goes.
