Amber Heard Reveals Her Role In ‘Aquaman 2’ Was Cut Down Due To Controversial Defamation Case
The Amber Heard and Johnny Depp defamation trial is being followed closely by many, and people are eager to learn more about the case developments. Amidst this highly controversial defamation case, Amber Heard has revealed during her testimony that her screen time on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been drastically reduced as a result of the case. Amber Heard initially appeared as Mera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League before being finalized for a bigger role in Aquaman.
The revelation comes from an op-ed that Amber Heard wrote to The Washington Post. In her op-ed Amber penned down about the abusive relationship. She also accused Johnny Depp of being violent throughout the relationship. The op-ed was written just after her divorce from Depp. Amber’s op-ed drew a lot of criticism from the fans and they took out a petition to have her removed from Aquaman. Although she was taken back into the role again but looks like things are not the same as before.
According to Heard, Warner Bros. was not keen on having her back for the role in Aquaman. She further revealed that she fought her way through it to secure the role. Going by the reports of CNN, Amber also said that she was constantly given various scripts, and every other script had her scenes cut from them. Even her action scenes were cut down.

However, reacting to Amber’s claims, the producers of Aquaman have stated that they did not pay heed to the fan’s request while making the decision of bringing Amber back to the movie. The decision was solely based on what was right for the film.
The Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial resumed in the court from May 16,2022 after a week-long pause. It started with Amber Heard’s testimony in the court.
