The incident, which Alia described as a gross invasion of her privacy, has sparked a conversation about the need to respect the privacy and safety of public figures and private citizens alike.

Arjun Kapoor was one of the first to speak out about the incident, addressing it as “absolutely shameless” and “nothing short of stalking.” He went on to say that anyone who takes photographs of public figures for a living needs to understand that this kind of conduct is pathetic and that it is not okay to make women feel unsafe or invade someone’s privacy. He also tagged the Mumbai Police in his Instagram Stories, calling on them to take action against such behaviour.

Anushka Sharma also shared her own experience of dealing with the paparazzi, noting that this was not the first time such an incident had occurred. She wrote that about two years ago, the same media outlet had taken pictures of her daughter, Vamika, despite their repeated requests for privacy. Anushka called the behaviour “absolutely shameful” and emphasized the need for the media to be respectful of people’s space and privacy.

Janhvi Kapoor also took to her Instagram story to share her own experience of feeling “disgustingly intrusive” when a media outlet photographed her working out at her gym through the glass door, despite her requests for privacy. She called the behaviour “absolutely shameful” and emphasized the need for the media to respect people’s privacy, especially in spaces that are supposed to be private.

Karan Johar, meanwhile, emphasized that there is no justification for such behaviour, calling it an “absolutely disgusting invasion of privacy.” He acknowledged that public figures are often accommodating of the media and paparazzi, but emphasized that there has to be a limit to such behaviour. He also emphasized that the right to feel safe in one’s own home is a basic human right that should be respected.

They both urged for action to be taken against such behaviour and expressed their hope that people will continue to stand up for their right to privacy and safety, even in the face of paparazzi and media attention.

The recent incident involving Alia Bhatt and the invasion of her privacy by the media has once again brought to light the issue of the paparazzi going too far. It’s not just Alia, many celebrities have faced such incidents in the past. It’s high time that the media realizes that they are crossing the line and invading someone’s personal space.
