One of Bollywood’s most favourite couples–Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are the talk of the town right now, with all this buzz going on around their wedding. Videos of the outfits from Sabyasachi have been seen arriving and pictures of RK Studious being decorated have flooded the internet. But amid this hubba hubba, there seems to be a lot of confusion among fans regarding the actual date of the couple’s wedding. While originally it was reported that the wedding festivities will take place between April 13 to April 17, Alia Bhatt’s stepbrother Rahul Bhatt yesterday said that the wedding has been postponed to April 20. All that is left now is for Alia and Ranbir to clear this confusion and give some respite to their fans.
But confirmed dates or not, congratulations have begun pouring from Bollywood celebrities who are seemingly as excited about the wedding as the couple’s fans are. Ila Arun took to her Instagram account to share a photo with Soni Razdan and called her ‘sasu maa’. Both of them are looking gorgeous in white outfits. Congratulating the soon-to-be-mother-in-law, Ila Arun wrote in her caption, “Hamari sony sasu ma ban raheein hai. (red heart emoji) congratulations Mahesh and Dear sony. GodBless Aliya and Ranbeer.”

Imtiaz Ali
Imtiaz Ali has worked with both Ranbir and Alia on different projects respectively and he, too, was very happy regarding the couple’s wedding. According to a report by Pinkvilla, he has not outright confirmed the same but said, “The fact that Ranbir and Alia are together, gives me immense happiness and pleasure. I am not going to say more, but I am extremely happy that people like that are grouping together. They are the purest form of actors that I have seen in my life.”

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai was a close friend of the late actor Rishi Kapoor and has revealed that the Alia-Ranbir wedding is most definitely taking place but it won’t happen on as grand a scale as Rishiji wanted. As per a report by India.com, he said, “He was so happy to share with me that they were planning his son Ranbir’s marriage with Alia in December 2020 in a big way. Today, I am so happy that Ranbir and Alia are finally fulfilling his dream. I wish both a happy married life, the way I always did for Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.”

Director Karan Johar who finds himself in the close friends’ circle of both Ranbir and Alia has dropped the biggest hints about their upcoming wedding. Sharing a clip of the “Kesariya” song from the couple’s upcoming film Brahmastra, he wrote in the caption, “Love is light and I know the amount of light you have brought into each other’s and our lives with your love.” Lastly, he wrote, “To new beginnings and more.” Now, this definitely means the wedding is on!
