Aamir Khan Praises Daughter Ira Khan For Directing Debut Play Well, Despite Difficult Subject
Aamir Khan has made it big in the entertainment industry and he began his journey with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988. His daughter Ira Khan has also stepped into the entertainment business, and if you are wondering if she has made her acting debut, then, I’m sorry to say that you are wrong. She made her directorial debut in theatre in 2019 with the play titled Medea, the adaptation of the Greek play titled Euripides. Recently, Aamir shared his thoughts on the play and what he had to say about his daughter’s efforts.
Aamir Khan Praises Ira Khan’s Play
As per reports, the media asked Aamir about Ira’s play Medea and was asked to share his thoughts on the same. He said the play was good quite good. Talking about the dark plot of the play, Khan said that it was a difficult subject to take up in theatre about a mother who kills her children. Lauding Ira’s vision as a director of the play, the 57-year-old actor said that it was a good attempt by her and also that she did a good job despite it being her first play.

For those who are unaware, Hazel Keech essays the titular role in Medea. The play received critical acclaim from the audience as well. Ira was 22 years old when she directed this play, which is quite commendable, to be honest!

On Aamir Khan’s work front, he is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh playing prominent characters. The film is the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump and will release in theatres on August 11.
