Sargun Mehta Says Aamir Khan Could Have Done Better Job At Picking Up Punjabi Accent In ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’
Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha‘s trailer made a lot of noise on social media after it was released. People went o to create memes on it as well. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. As much as people are looking forward to Amir Khan’s performance in this one, they have mocked his performance based on what they could see in the trailer. And now, Sargun Mehta has said that Aamir could have done better in terms of getting the Punjabi accent right in the film. He has essayed the titular role of Laal Singh Chaddha in the film.
Sargun Mehta On Aamir Khan’s Accent
In an exclusive interview with India.com, Sargun Mehta said that Aamir Khan is not a Punjabi and yet he has taken up this role as actors are supposed to display their versatility. She also admitted that he could have done better when it came to picking up the accent but he still he has managed to pull it off. Sargun further said that it takes a lot of work to even do what he has done. Talking about pure Punjabi accent, Sargun Mehta said that if Aamir Khan would have tried talking in it, nobody would have understood.

The cast of Laal Singh Chaddha includes Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya as well and the film marks the latter’s Bollywood debut. It is directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures. The film is set for a theatrical release on August 11, 2022.
