From Shararat To Karishma Ka Karishma, All The 90s Shows That Need To Make A Comeback Along With Shaktimaan!

With Shaktimaan making a comeback after so many years, it’s time to take a whirlwind tour down memory lane and revisit some of the most enchanting shows that had us glued to our screens back in the 90s. I remember the time when all I wanted to do after school was watch Shaktimaan and Shararat. From superheroes to witches, these shows were definitely more than just entertainment—they were our childhood companions, sparking imaginations. Here are a few 90s shows that we would love to go back to!

1. Shaktimaan

Shaktimaan remains an iconic favourite among 90s kids, serving as our ultimate superhero. There’s no way we’re ever going to outgrow our love for this series. With Shaktimaan poised for a comeback, I bet all of us 90s kids are bursting with excitement! Actor Mukesh Khanna, who brought Shaktimaan and his alter ego Gangadhar to life, truly carved a special place in our hearts.

2. Shararat

This show had every kid hooked, snapping their fingers and believing in magic! Jiya’s story as she finds her way through the hilarious chaos of college life, while her mom and nani try to keep things on track – with plenty of comedic twists along the way! NGL, I would give everything I own to be able to complete tasks with a simple click of the fingers.

3. Shakalaka Boom Boom

Whether you admit it or not, Shakalaka Boom Boom probably had you convinced that a magic pencil could bring sketches to life. Admit it, many of you must have even gone on a hunt for it in local stationery shops! This delightful show kept kids entertained for nearly four years, following the escapades of the main character, Sanju, portrayed by actor Kinshuk Vaidya.

4. Karishma Ka Karishma

This lively drama series, centred around a lifelike robot with the personality of a young girl named Karishma portrayed by Jhanak Shukla, had all the kids pleading with their parents for a robot just like her at home. The only motivation I had for hitting the books as a kid was the promise from my mom that I could watch Karishma Ka Karishma afterwards. I was totally hooked – that show had me completely invested!

5. Son Pari

If you bring up the name Son Pari and don’t start vibing to the title track you are definitely not a 90s kid. Son Pari took all of us on a ride to a magical world, with the main character Frooti and her fairy friend Son Pari alongside Altu. Can you imagine being hooked on a series for four years? All that was left was for me to start making notes about it!

6. Hatim

I don’t think any of the new action fantasy movies and films can get us as invested as Hatim did growing up. NGL, we definitely need a newer version of Hatim because how do I just get over my childhood crush just like that? Also not to mention all the crazy fighting sequences I and my sister would try to recreate after each episode!

Ah, it has definitely been a long trip down the nostalgia lane. This revisit was definitely long due, wasn’t it? Each show holds a special place in our hearts and no matter how many supernatural, superhero, magical universe movies come up, we are never getting over these! Maybe we’ll find ourselves clicking fingers, battling evils and casting spells wherever we go. Until then, Shaktimaan is here to keep the spirit of the 90s alive in your hearts, and we can’t wait to see what this one has to offer!
