Women Of Reddit Discuss “Pleasantly Surprising” Things Men Have Done. This Is Proof That The Bar Is Low For Them!

Have you ever taken the time to sit and wonder where we went wrong as a society? Think about it, we have so many things that are severely wrong with us as a society. Patriarchy, sexism, racism, castiesm etc, we decided at some point that we want our society to be the worse thing ever. And amongst all this we decided that not only are men considered superior to women but the expectations from this “superior gender” is also the bare minimum. I see men literally doing the basic, bare minimum and women hyping it up. However, we do shame men quiet a bit on Hauterrfly so I decided to try keeping an open mind and reading those Reddit thread on r/AskWomen which answered the question, “What is one thing that a man has said or done which has pleasantly surprised you?” and the answers were pretty wholesome.

Okay, so I stand corrected. The bar for men is on the ground. Literally, most of the things mentioned in these Reddit posts are the bare minimum basic things that every human being should be doing. Like, what is with glorifying men for complimenting you? But then again, considering the shitty people I have encountered and dated, I don’t blame these women. Even I am pleased when men do basic shit and keep hyping it up until my girlfriends tell me how stupid I am being.
Not gonna lie, these things did seem cute but I will be the first to admit that this entire thread is saddening. As in, while these actions are sweet, are they genuinely that special? Like it is basic human decency and politeness to treat others with this care and consideration. But somehow, women aren’t treated with the same leniency.
