YouTuber Prajakta Koli Is Now A Daytime Emmy Winner! And She Thanked Michelle Obama For That!
When you start with something, you’re not sure how far you’ll go. You wish to fulfil all your dreams but you don’t necessarily put a cap on it. And when that road leads you to places you never thought you could go, it is surprising, it is exciting and even exhilarating. This stands true even for those who have made a career choosing the road less travelled— YouTubers, OTT artists, content creators of social media, etc. Which brings me to the most recent update. YouTuber Prajakta Koli is now a Daytime Emmy Award winner! She was part of YouTube’s documentary, Creators for Change, where she, along with Liza Koshy and Thembe Mahlaba, were in a conversation with Michelle Obama.
Having followed the journey of some of my favourite Indian YouTubers, I have to admit that I am biased toward Prajakta Koli, popularly known as @mostlysane. Her channel is quirky, fun, and entertaining to say the least. And recently after the release of her Netflix show Mismatched where she stars opposite Rohit Saraf, she’s got me following her even more closely! And this is such an insane honour for @mostlysane!

On hearing this news, Prajakta Koli expressed her euphoria at winning the award. She said, “I am going to take some time to process this. But so grateful for having to wake up to find out that our ‘Creators For Change documentary’ won a Daytime Emmy. So much love to YouTube for constantly giving creators like me a global platform to have effective conversations.”
She even extended her gratitude to Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the United States, for giving her such a big opportunity where she could come on to a global platform and express her views as well as her opinions. She wrote in an Instagram post, “So grateful to Mrs. Obama for letting me be a part of this wonderful project. Also, so much love to Liza and Thembe. What a feeling.”

Her journey and hard work are so inspiring. Starting off as a YouTuber she has now come out in a Netflix show and is now all set to make her movie debut with actors like Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor, and Kiara Advani, in the movie Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Not only that but she has recently launched her own merchandise on Instagram.
Prajakta Koli is a true example of the fact that working hard can get you to places. You don’t necessarily have to follow the same old career paths that are threaded out for you. If you want then you can make your own path. And if you’re really committed and passionate about it, then there will be no stopping you!
