Bharti Singh Reveals How She Lost 15 Kgs: “I Don’t Eat Between 7 PM And 12 PM.”

I’ve always been told that I’m on the plumper side of the spectrum. And I agree. I am a bit on the heavier side. But truth be told, I’m comfortable and healthy. The problem with having more weight comes up when that weight causes a set of health issues. That is when one needs to make efforts to reduce weight so as stay fit and active and keep health issues from developing, or worsening. One of the most inspiring weight loss journeys that I’ve seen is that of comedian Bharti Singh. Recently, she opened up about how she lost 15kgs with the help of intermittent fasting. And all that weight loss helped her with her asthma and diabetes.

Comedian Bharti Singh who previously weighed around 91kgs has reduced her weight and is now 76kgs, which she is surprised to have accomplished with intermittent fasting. Bharti also commented that her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa isn’t too happy with her weight loss. And that is because he misses playing with her stomach and gets upset when she refuses to eat outside food.

In her interview, the comedian and reality show host said, “Abhi saans nahi chadhti aur halka halka feel hota hai. Meri diabetes aur asthma bhi control mein aa gaye hain (Now I don’t have problem breathing and feel lighter. My diabetes and asthma are also under control).” Bharti Singh further added, “I don’t eat between 7 pm and 12 pm. I just attack food post 12 pm…. My body doesn’t accept dinner any later than 7 pm. Maine 30-32 saal bahut khaana khaaya hai aur uske baad ek saal apni body ko time diya toh body ne sab accept kiya (I ate a lot of food for 30-32 years and then gave my body a year and my body has accepted the change).”

Bharti proudly admitted that she is happy with her progress and how much weight she has lost. And even though she feels that she has hit a ‘plateau’ when it comes to weight loss, she feels good when she sees herself on the screen.

Isn’t that what it all boils down to? Being comfortable and happy in your own skin. Just like Bharti Singh, everyone has their own weight-loss journey. What might work for one might not necessarily work for others. But irrespective of the method you choose, ensure that you don’t harm yourself in the process. The journey is long and time-consuming, some days might be better than others, but the only way through it is through patience and persistence.
