From Homegrown Labels To Big Brands, The Fashion Industry Is Pitching In To Covid Relief Efforts

Everyday I wake up to at least a couple messages on my phone from a friend or relative asking for leads for Covid. I open Instagram to find some contacts by trying out every possible Covid help page and relevant hashtag but in the process, I find more stories and messages asking for help from the people I know. The times are tough and it can get overwhelming sometimes. Plus, it is okay to feel helpless too. Everyone is trying the best they can to keep themselves and everyone around safe and that’s the biggest help you can do. Apart from that, you can also donate to Covid relief NGOs who are working tirelessly day and night to procure enough supplies for patients fighting for their lives. In case you want to do a little bit more , you can support brands that are chipping in for these relief funds by donating a percentage to full proceeds from their sales to the cause. There are a lot of fashion brands in here and that’s heartening to know.

A lot of fashion labels have come forward to raise funds, donate a considerable amount from the revenue, contribute supplies and help set up medical facilities in these grim times and we applaud them for it. They have been teaming up with NGOs like Hemkunt Foundation, Khalsa Aid and others to lend a helping hand. Some fashion influencers are also making good use of their social media presence and knack for style to raise money for Covid relief.

Aayushi Bangur put a bunch of chic pieces from her wardrobe up for sale for her followers to raise 1 lakh in a matter of minutes and donated to an NGO. We love how the fashion industry, be it brands or people, are chipping in for the cause. Here’s how you can do your bit too, while adding to your closet and looking stylish. Here are five fashion labels that you can buy from and support them in their excellent work of donating and contributing to the Covid relief charities.

A few days ago, jewellery brand Isharya announced that they will be donating this week’s entire sales revenue to the three organisations namely Mission Oxygen India, Uday Foundation and Hemkunt Foundation to give back to the people. In the announcement post, the word ‘donation’ read as ‘do it for the nation’ which is basically the whole purpose of shopping from the brands in these times.

So what are you waiting for? There’s still time to contribute and support these brands. Every penny counts!
