‘Modern Love Mumbai’ Cast And Directors Announced, Will Feature Masaba Gupta, Pratik Gandhi, Arshad Warsi, And More
Who doesn’t love love? I am sure we all do and serving a slice of that, Amazon Prime Video is here to take away our Monday blues, with a fantastic announcement. Yes, revealing a brand new poster of the OTT giant’s local, Indian adaptation of the international hit series–Modern Love (still can’t get over Dev Patel’s character Joshua), Amazon Prime Video has a sweet surprise for all of us. Unravelling the poster of its upcoming series–Modern Love Mumbai, Prime Video will cater to our love for the city, with sweet stories playing the protagonist again.
Rooted in the city of dreams–Mumbai, the series is divided into six soul-stirring tales, namely Raat Rani, Baai, Cutting Chai, I Love Thane, My Beautiful Wrinkles and Mumbai Dragon. As exciting and refreshing as these names sound to us, the cast smiling on the poster has us thrilled. The roster of artists including–Arshad Warsi, Chitrangda Singh, Masaba Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pratik Gandhi, Sarika amongst others can be seen flashing their brightest smiles as they hint towards some refreshing pairings. The interesting cast also includes a mix of veteran, young and new artists like–Tanvi Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Dolly Singh, Aadar Malik, Ahsaas Channa, Danesh Razvi, chef Ranveer Brar who will mark their presence in the series.

Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, the series will explore the gullies of Mumbai, taking cues from the international franchise’s original inspiration–the famous New York Times column. Just like the original hit series, the many flavours of love will take a centre-stage in every tale with directors like Shonali Bose, Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal, and Nupur Asthana putting their lens to these tales.
While I absolutely can’t wait to watch the series and fall in love with these unique stories, we will have to kinda wait until May 13, 2o22 for the big release.
