Johnny Depp Ends Testimony In Amber Heard Defamation Case On A Powerful Note, Says He Is A Victim Of Domestic Violence
The last we’ve heard of the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation case was that along with hitting him, the actress was also accused of threatening to commit suicide whenever he tried to walk away. He claimed that it was these threats that constantly troubled him every time he wanted to leave her. And that brings us to the fourth and the last day of cross-examination where audio was played in which Johnny Depp warns Amber Heard of violence if their marital arguments escalate further.
In the recording that was played in the court during the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case, the actor is heard giving a warning to his former wife of violence if the arguments went on. He said in the recording, “The next move if I don’t walk away… it’s going to be a bloodbath like it was on the island”.
The 58-year-old actor was also heard shouting and asking Amber Heard to shut up after she asked him to put his cigarettes out on someone else and that his actions have consequences. However, the recording was challenged by the lawyers of Johnny Depp who represented another tape wherein Heard is heard ordering Depp on the couch.

As per reports, when questioned about the recording, Johnny Depp admitted that he might have flicked cigarette ash at Amber Heard. But he did not put a cigarette out on her as the way she is implying by all the screaming in the recording.
Another person to testify in the ongoing defamation case was Ben King, a British house manager-butler that was employed by Disney to manage Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s rented house in Australia. In his testimony, he said that he heard Amber Heard saying, “Why’d you take your hand away from me, Johnny? Don’t you love me anymore?”
King further went on to say that he thinks he heard Johnny Depp’s reply saying that of course, he loves her and even described Heard’s tone as “like a spoiled teenage child”. He also added that he saw Depp’s severed finger “directly below the bar” after their argument escalated.

In another recording, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were heard negotiating time-outs from their marital arguments, with the actress saying that she could not trust him to resume their fights as he has disappeared for hours on previous occasions. To this, Depp responds that she throws punches in the arguments and Amber Heard replies, “I’m talking arguments, not the times when it’s physical… You take off right away. You don’t deal with the issue. You don’t deal with the confrontation. And you split. You do for an indeterminate amount of time, You do it without actually respecting me.”
Speaking about how he felt when Amber Heard wrote the article for the Washington Post where she described herself as a public figure who was representing domestic abuse, Johnny Depp testified, “At that point it had been a good two solid years since the allegations had been planted firmly on my back… I couldn’t believe it … it was clear that, the more hit pieces came out on me, it was clear that Ms Heard’s righteous chase against me was continuing… Something had to be done… I couldn’t take it anymore.”
The cross-examination ends with the lawyer asking, “What did you say in response when Ms. Heard said, ‘Tell the world, Johnny. Tell them, Johnny Depp, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim, too, of domestic violence’?” and the actor replied, “I said, ‘Yes. I am”.
Now, with the cross-examination of the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation case coming to an end, the case still continues.
