‘Delhi Crime: Season 2’ Trailer: Shefali Shah’s DCP Vartika Singh Struggles To Nab A Serial Killer With A Depleting Police Force
As an avid reader, I can say that I have always enjoyed suspense and thrillers as genres. However, for the longest time, I believe that Hindi entertainment lacked good shows and movies in this genre due to a lack of well-written plots. But in recent years and with the rise of OTT platforms, we can see that this has definitely changed. And the proof of this is the fact that the first season of Delhi Crime made history by being the first Indian show to take home the Best Drama Series honour at the International Emmy Awards last year. Finally, the trailer for Delhi Crime’s second season on Netflix is here. Shefali Shah reprises her role as DCP Vartika Singh in the second season’s trailer alongside Rasika Duggal and Rajesh Tailang, who play her teammates. Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Sidharth Bhardwaj, and Gopal Dutt are also seen reprising their roles.

The Delhi Crime season 2 teaser depicts how the Delhi Police is looking for a serial killer this time. The trailer further highlights the difficulties police encounter while attempting to keep an eye on a situation like this in the city with a depleted force. The intense music and shots add to the overall atmosphere of the show. The show talks about a serial killer on the loose who is going about murdering the elderly. It further also delves into how the underprivileged are usually the ones who get stuck in such messes.

Richie Mehta wrote, directed, and developed the first season; this time, he has been given the creator credit. The infamous 2012 Delhi gang rape probe served as the basis for the show’s first season. Recently, Shefali Shah shared the Delhi Crime season 2 trailer on her official Instagram account. She wrote, “An ominous gang, a city in panic. Is DCP Vartika and her squad prepared for the chaos to come? The trailer for DELHI CRIME SEASON 2 IS HERE!”
Delhi Crime: Season 2 is all set to release on August 26, 2022.
