Swati Maliwal Questions Why People Are So Offended Over Ranveer Singh’s Nude Photoshoot
Ranveer Singh recently left us all stunned with his nude photoshoot. And if you are unaware, it has sparked drama and debate throughout the nation. People have felt offended by these pictures and have gone as far as claiming that those pictures have hurt women’s sentiments. However, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, has defended the actor and we are here for it!
Swati Maliwal, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, stated on Thursday that while nude pictures of women are often disseminated, no one protests and an actor choosing to appear nudely has become the subject of debates. Maliwal’s comments come amid the uproar around Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s recent posting of naked photos to his Instagram account.

Maliwal stated in a tweet, “The society is fed nude photos of women on a daily basis and no one objects. One actor for reasons best known to himself, decides to pose nude and becomes the topic of prime time debates. Are there no real issues in the country?” The FIR against Singh claims that although India has a wonderful culture, everyone’s feelings have been harmed as a result of these images.
I already spoke about this but I will say it again, it isn’t that hard to ignore something if you don’t like it. Not everything has to be a matter of national debate because we have more pressing issues than Ranveer Singh posting nudes on his Instagram. And how this is supposed to offend women is beyond me as well.
