Who Is Amina Muaddi? The Shoe Designer Named In Rihanna And A$AP Rocky’s Alleged Split
Celebrity breakups, patch-ups and relationship tensions catch fire in no time. And such situation has now seized to exist for soon-to-be parents–Rihanna and her beau/rapper A$AP Rocky. As per a bizarre piece of information over the internet, the couple apparently broke up, because A$AP Rocky was found cheating on Rihanna with Fenty footwear designer Amina Muaddi. Yes, as bizarre as it sounds, the rumour spread soon like fire, with no factual evidence involved. So much so that, Amina was accused and harassed by the internet pariwaar for being the barrier between Rihanna and her rapper beau.

Just like how in every pati, patni aur woh situation, the ‘woh‘ here too was made feel embarrassed and held the sole culprit in the situation, without any fault of her own. Soon putting a full stop to the rumour, and the baseless information about her alleged relationship with Rocky, Amina broke her silence and exploded words on her Instagram handle. Clarifying further, fashion commentator–Louis Pisano, who landed with the rumour first, extended an apology towards Amina, Rihanna and Rocky A$AP, for spreading fake news.

While this bizarre move to tarnish the image of a self-made woman couldn’t last any further than 24 hours, it surely reminded us of the society we live in. Well, we always envy the life of celebrities, but we rarely realise how such uninformed rumours can take a toll on their minds and personal lives. A woman who indeed is much more than just a stupid rumour was reduced down to an unverified piece of information as the only thing the world knows about her.

A Jordanian-Romanian designer, who was brought up in Italy, Amina Muaddi is synonymous with the shoe business. A leading footwear designer, who has added tinsels and magic to almost every celebrity’s feet, is the mind behind statement-making shoes. The stylist turned shoe designer, switched gears in the year 2012, followed by the opening of her own shoe label in 2017. One of Rihanna’s closest allies, Amina also worked closely with Riri’s famous label–Fenty. As shared by Amina herself in an interview, the two met for the first-ever time, through a close common friend which led to business collaborations.

A recipient of many prestigious awards, Amina recently collected the award for ‘Collaborator of the Year,’ at the 34th edition of the FN Achievement Awards for her blockbuster collaboration with Rihanna’s Fenty.
