Review: I Used Shampoo And Conditioner Bars For The First Time And Consider Me A Convert

We girls love our hair, don’t we? But at the same time, we love some change every now and then and that’s precisely why we often go for different hairstyles. And all this requires a lot of treatments and product uses. From haircuts to rebonding to hair colouring, we do a lot to look good. But all this also tends to damage our hair to no end. That’s exactly what happened to me. I knew what I was doing and yet I went ahead and coloured my hair purple. Fashion colours require one to pre-lighten their hair to the lightest possible shade and that usually does a lot of damage. It weakens your hair and makes it dry, rough, frizzy and weak. And there I was with rough and frizzy hair. As much as I love the purple hair, the damage has to be fixed and while home remedies are great, you do need to pick your shampoo and conditioner right too. That’s when I came across this shampoo and conditioner bar from Nytarra.

On a normal day, I’d rather use shampoo instead of a shampoo bar because the usual idea is that it will dry your hair up even more but that’s not always the case. I took the risk to use this product and the results, well, read on to find out what happened next.

Nytarra Shea And Avocado Pre-Shampoo Hair Mask

I started my hair care routine with the shea and avocado pre-shampoo hair mask. This product is free of aluminium, baking soda, propylene glycol, triclosan, parabens and phthalates. The ingredients of the products you use are important and some of them can really damage your hair upon long-term use. And some of these ingredients are the ones you read above. This product comes in a creamy texture but once opened and kept outside, it tends to turn into an oil-like texture. Since it’s a natural product that tends to happen. I used this product for almost a month and while usually, the other hair masks I use tend to nourish my hair and moisturise them in just a few uses, that was not the case with this product. Having said that, this could also be, possibly, due to the damage caused by hair colouring. But after using the other products from this brand, I’m not too sure if that is the case. While this hair mask from Nytarra did hydrate my hair, it didn’t do as much as I expected. The Nytarra Shea and Avocado Hair Mask is priced at Rs 425.

Nytarra Solid Shampoo Bar

Using a shampoo bar for my hair is something that I was hesitant about. More so because of my preconceived notion that a bar instead of a usual shampoo might damage my hair. And with coloured hair, i was even more concerned. But surprisingly, Nytarra Solid Shampoo Bar is not only vegan but it’s also free of paraben, silicone, sulfate and dye. It is also safe for coloured and keratin-treated hair. To say that I was surprised by the result would be an understatement. Normally, it takes me at least two washes to cleanse my hair and get all the dirt and sometimes oil but with this product, just one wash is enough but at the same time, it didn’t dry my hair up either. Apart from this, the Nytarra shampoo bar also nourished my hair and made them soft and manageable but it also make my hair strong and luscious. The change that I have seen with my hair over the last month is nothing less than magic. In just one wash, I went from frizzy to soft and smooth tresses and that is more than I can say for most of the overpriced colour protectant shampoos that I have used in the past. The Nytarra Solid Shampoor Bar is priced at Rs 345.

Nytarra Hydrating Conditioner Bar

After using the shampoo bar from this brand, I had no doubts this product would live up to my expectations and the results were immediate, TBH. The Nytarra Hydrating Conditioner Bar is not safe for use for coloured and keratin-treated hair as per the brand but after using the product, I can confidently say that it works wonders for colour treated hair. Created with moisturising natural oils and butters and free of silicones, phthalates, SLS/SLES, this product gives your soft, manageable and tangle-free hair with just one wash. After using this for a month, I have seen change like never before. The Nytarra Hydrating Conditioner Bar is priced at Rs 350.

Final Verdict

I am not a fan of the hair mask from this brand but considering the condition of my hair after the colour treatment, I would say maybe it just wasn’t the right product for my hair. But on the other hand, Nytarra’s shampoo and conditioner bars are perfect for frizzy, weak and damaged hair. And the best part about this product is that you will see results from the first wash itself and by the time you’re done with eight to ten washes, your hair will be completely transformed. If that isn’t enough to convince you to invest in this product, here’s another thing – it lasts really long. I’ve been using these products for almost 6 weeks now (and I wash my hair at least three times a week), this product is far from over. The Nytarra shampoo and conditioner bars last long, nourish your hair and give you the desired result and it’s budget-friendly. And for what it’s worth, just one good investment in the right product can give you soft and glossy hair.
