Women’s IPL RCB Vs MI: Twitter Finds Smriti Mandhana’s Bowling Style Kaafi Similar To Virat Kohli’s!

Women’s Premiere League had the audiences glued to the screens within the first edition favourite teams were picked as well. The Royal Challengers Bangalore has had a bad run this season, and people will not leave them alone! But there are some logical and sane people on the internet who have gone on to appreciate the efforts of the Smriti Mandhana-led team. A clip from the recent game between RCB and Mumbai Indians (MI) has gone viral wherein people are in awe of Smriti’s bowling skills. Many have gone on to compare her bowling style to that of Virat Kohli as well.

Smriti Mandhana bowled in the 17th over against MI, making it her first time bowling in this tournament. The clip of her bowling has gone viral on Twitter and people thought her style is very similar to that of Virat Kohli. One of the Twitter users made a collage of Mandhana and Kohli bowling to show how strikingly similar they are as bowlers. Another lauded Smriti’s all-rounder skills and wrote that she can bowl and bat well. People also could not believe that Smriti Mandhana has taken matters into her own hands and decided to bowl an over in the last game.

The women’s RCB team has received flak for their performance in the debut edition of the Women’s Premiere League. RCB lost the match against MI as the latter chased their set score of 125 in 16.5 overs. The women in red have lost six matches out of the eight matches they have played so far.

Despite the RCB team winning two matches in the later stage of the tournament, it was not enough to push them over to the playoffs. Chalo, cricket is a game after all, and even though RCB lost this time, they did win hearts with the players’ individual performances. And as SRK said, “Haar kar jeetne wale ko hi baazigar kehte hai,” we would like to believe that the team will come back stronger next year.
