Extending his gratitude to his family, he switched gears and included someone no one expected. He met the “love of [his] life” six months before, but cheated on her. Tearfully saying it was the “worst week” so far, he admitted that it was like the “gold medal” in life.
Indifferent to the change in people’s perspectives after his confession, he said he wasn’t sure why he decided to bring up his “mistake.” Surprisingly, Laegreid went as far as to proclaim that he put “sport” after his former partner in the Olympics.
