But, well in the other news we have a new Meta Head for India, and ladies, be proud because it’s a woman, Sandhya Devanathan. This announcement was made on November 17, Thursday. Meta is Facebook’s parent company whose last India Head was Ajit Mohan. Sandhya Devanatha has had a long career serving in important positions at various reputable organisations before taking Meta’s responsibility as a Vice President for India.

Education
In 2000, Sandhya Devanathan earned a degree in Masters In Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. In 2014, she also went ahead to earn herself a degree in the course of leadership from Saȉd Business School at Oxford University. Sandhya also has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Andhra Pradesh that she finished in 1998.

Career
Sandhya Devanathan has 22 years of work experience in different fields like technology, banking, and payments. She was also a board member of the National Library Board, for approximately a year. For two years, Sandhya served as a member of the board of directors at Pepper Financial Services Group. Sandhya became a part of Meta in 2016 when she managed the company’s e-commerce initiatives in Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore and Vietnam. Then in 2020, she also took the role of vice president of the company’s gaming initiative. With her honest hard work and dedication, Sandhya Devanathan is now the India head for Meta.
Personal Life
Sandhya Devanathan is married to an entrepreneur, Amit Ray.
