What’s with men these days? Not to generalise here again, but the incident that surface nowadays are so horrifying. We are living in a world where social media has become the quickest source to record and spread pathetic acts by a man done against a woman. And many times, police also become aware of such crimes through social media. A similar incident is making headlines today where a viral video of a man misbehaving with a woman was shared on Twitter. You will not believe your eyes after seeing how the man treated the woman in the middle of the road!
The video shared by a Twitter user showed that a man forcefully puts a woman inside the cab, and also hits her. There was also another man in the video with them who can be seen as just a silent spectator to the whole scene. The video that has emerged on social media is from Delhi’s Mangolpuri flyover.
The Delhi police immediately came to action after discovering the video and also released some information about the case after the initial investigation. As per this, the two men and the woman in the video had booked an Uber for a ride from Rohini to Vikaspuri. Further details given by the police suggest that the woman had a severe argument with the two men and wanted to leave, however, they did not allow that and instead forced her inside the cab. The police have also traced the car and the driver present on the scene, and a team has been sent to further investigate the matter.

Swati Maliwal, the Delhi Commission for Women chief also reacted to the incident and demanded strict actions against the culprits.

The audacity this man in the video has is just sickening. In the middle of a busy road, he held the woman by her dress and just pushed her inside the car, and also beat her. Nobody present there helped the woman, not even the other man present in the scene. There are so many questions that come to mind after seeing this video and it just feels sad to see the extent of violence women are subjected to in the present times, that too publicly! Are we doing anything about this, please?
