Right Wing Students Harass 2 Korean Girls In UP’s Meerut, Accuse Them Of Religious Conversion
This is extremely shameful!
In December 2022, the sexual harassment of a Korean YouTuber on live stream on Mumbai streets left us all shocked and as if that wasn’t enough, there seem to be yet another case of two Korean women being harassed in India. In a shocking video shared on Twitter, two Korean students who were in Meerut, UP were surrounded and harassed by a group of students.
In the video shared on Twitter, the two Korean girls can be seen walking silently as a man who seems to be recording the video questions them as to why they are there and if they are accompanied by someone. The girls ignore the questions and continue walking but the goons surround them and start hooting loudly while claiming that the girls are Christian Missionaries and are attempting to get them to convert their religion. Further the girls try refuting the allegations but the boys loudly start chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Korean Students who are studying Hindi in Delhi had come to visit Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, UP but they are harassed by RW goons claiming they are Christian Missionaries and here to convert them.

According to reports, the Korean girls are from Delhi and are studying Hindi at a University in the national capital. They were in Meerut to meet a friend at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University where some right-wing students misbehaved with them. Soon after the incident took place, the news reached the police who then arrived at the spot to rescue the Korean girls.

In fact, the Meerut Police also took to the microblogging platform to issue a statement and clarify that the Korean girls being accused of attempting to get students to convert their religion is false. They further revealed that the girls were asked about their religion and their response was recorded and the video was edited and misrepresented so as to make it seem that they were trying to convert people. The authorities further called the conversion allegation levelled by the other students false.

It’s shocking how the students in the video hoot and bully the two Korean girls who were silently minding their own business. And what’s even more shocking is that these girls were accused of being Christian Missionaries simply due to their nationality. It’s time we really put an end to the Hindu extremist behaviour and teach these students how to behave with women, whatsoever their religion or nationality might be.
