Vinesh Phogat: Can’t Disclose Details Of Girls Who Complained Against WFI

The entire nation was shocked after reading about Vinesh Phogat’s sexual harassment allegations against the Wrestling Federation Of India Chief. She revealed that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and other coaches on the national level have been harassing female wrestlers for many years. Many other award-winning wrestlers have also extended support to Vinesh Phogat and are demanding justice for the wrestlers. In what comes as the latest update from the ongoing protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, Phogat said that they have met with Union Sports Minister and have shared their problems with him.

As the tweet shared by ANI News, the 28-year-old Vinesh Phogat said that after sharing their issues with the Union Sports Minister, they were not satisfied with the discussion they had about some of the topics.

Further ahead, she said that this discussion is not about wrestling. Had it been that, she said that meeting would have wound up in one hour. Vinesh Phogat said that this was not just about one girl but many of them. She also said that she cannot reveal details about them because otherwise, they would be putting their families in danger.

Support from Vijendra Singh and Bajrang Punia also came pouring in for Vinesh Phogat and those protesting. Punia said that the wrestlers are risking their careers by going against the authorities and also that they are fighting for the young wrestlers who are the future. He further said that they are all sad that the athletes have to leave their practice and sit there to protest.
