In a new update on Twisha Sharma’s death case, her husband, Samrath Singh, has reportedly agreed to surrender. This information was revealed by his lawyer in the Madhya Pradesh High Court on May 22. For the unversed, Twisha Sharma, 33, was reportedly found hanging in her matrimonial home. Since then Samarth has been on the run, which raised suspicion against him and his mother, Giribala Singh. Twisha Sharma’s Husband Reportedly Agrees To Surrender
According to a report by India Today, Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh’s lawyer revealed that he had offered to surrender. This was informed to the MP High Court on Friday. Additionally, his lawyer reportedly told the court that Samarth Singh would withdraw his anticipatory bail plea. The reports have also revealed that the court has agreed to a second autopsy of Twisha’s body. This happened after the petitioner’s counsel urged the court to prioritise this case. It is worth noting that her recent post-mortem revealed that Twisha reportedly passed away by su*cide. Her family refused to accept it and alleged that there was foul play. However, her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, strongly opposed this demand, stating that the post-mortem was already done by the doctors at AIIMS and questioned the need for another examination.
Background About The Case
Twisha Sharma, who hailed from Noida, was found dead in her matrimonial home in Bhopal. This tragedy happened on May 12 and she was just 33 years old at the time. Her family reportedly accused her in-laws of dowry harassment and abetment to su*cide. However, on the other hand, her in-laws reportedly claimed that she was addicted to drugs. This case has sparked a debate on social media about dowry-related deaths in India.
