The Twisha Sharma death case is an ongoing investigation. It’s been more than 10 days since another life was lost, allegedly due to dowry harassment. The CBI is looking into the probe, and they have made shocking revelations in the court regarding the involvement of Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh and husband Samarth. CBI Gets Giribala Singh, Samarth Custody
For the unversed, the MP court recently rejected Giribala Singh’s anticipatory bail. The Central Agency visited the retired judge’s residence soon after the bail was quashed by the court. The CBI arrested Giribala Singh, and she was presented before a local court in Bhopal. As per a report by The Hindu, the court has sent Giribala Singh and Samarth to CBI custody for five days till June 2. CBI plans on questioning the mother-son duo about the events that happened before Twisha Sharma’s unfortunate death.
Giribala Singh’s Arrest
CBI visited the ex-judge’s residence in Bhopal and questioned Giribala Singh for six hours before arresting her. They also recreated the crime scene, and Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth, was also present for the same.
CBI has made some serious statements regarding their initial findings from the investigation. The agency has told the court that Samarth and Giribala Singh allegedly forced an abortion on doubts that the child that Twisha Sharma was carrying was someone else’s. They have also presented witnesses who gave statements about the in-laws asking for extra dowry on multiple occasions during the wedding. With the mother-son in custody, the CBI also plans to question them about the other injuries on Twisha’s body that have been mentioned in the second postmortem report.
