During a conversation with Times Now, Twisha Sharma’s sister-in-law, Rashi Sharma, revealed that she often talked about harassment by her husband, Samarth Singh. Rashi also recalled Twisha’s last words with her family, where she mentioned that the 31-year-old was “stressed” because of her husband’s behaviour, and during her last days, she kept insisting on coming back to the house, resuming her career, and having a fresh start. However, she tragically passed away on May 12. Mourning Sharma, her sister-in-law, wished to cremate her in the right way.
Rashi also slammed Twisha’s mother-in-law, a retired judge named Giribala Singh, for making defamatory comments against the deceased. After her death, Giribala Singh held a press conference and labelled Twisha as “schizophrenic” and “troubled”, who allegedly required psychiatric monitoring. She also accused her daughter-in-law of using “marijuana” and having drug withdrawal symptoms. She further claimed that Twisha was not happy with her pregnancy and unilaterally decided to have an abortion.
The retired judge also alleged that her parents “forced” her to join the entertainment industry for money and later cut ties with her, leading to her mental health issues. She denied all claims about her mistreatment of Twisha. But Rashi Sharma alleged that Giribala’s public statements showed that their family was not affected by this death and felt that she might have treated the former actor even worse when she was alive.
