Pritam Reacts To Allegations Of Copying Cocktail 2’s Song Mashooqa From THIS Italian Track. Achha, Okay!

The anticipation to watch Cocktail 2 starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna is through the roof. However, amid this, film newly dropped song ‘Mashooqa,’ composed by Pritam, became a topic of discussion on the internet as many drew similarity to an Italian track  ‘Se So Arrubate A Nonna.’ Soon, people started calling out the composer over the same. Addressing the chatter, Pritam shared his unhinged reaction on his Instagram handle.

Pritam took to his Instagram stories and shared that every single of his song releases comes with a set of self-appointed music detectives, who have created a new genre called “‘imaginary similarities.’ Same people, same ‘inspired by’ thesis.” He called them his unpaid PR team. Further, the composer just wanted to say that it was “NOT NICE.” It’s worth noting that previously Pritam has faced the allegation of taking ‘inspiration’ as well. Check out his statement below!
