The Elephant Whisperers’ Bomman Says “Don’t Know Who Sent The Legal Notice To Kartiki, Sikhya Entertainment”
What is even going on!

The tribal couple who appeared in Guneet Monga, Kartiki Gonsalves’ Oscar-winning Netflix documentary The Elephant Whisperers’ Bomman and Bellie recently made headlines after they accused the director Kartiki and Sikhya Entertainment of exploiting them and sent them a legal notice demanding compensation that was allegedly promised to them. However, now in a fresh statement, Bomman has retracted his statement and claimed that he does not know any advocate and has no clue who sent the legal notice to the director and the production house.

In a previous viral video, The Elephant Whisperers’ couple Bomman and Bellie claimed that the director, Kartiki Gonsalves and production house Sikhya Entertainment promised to give them the financial aid that was promised to them and that the team has been out of contact after they won the Oscar. However, as per India Today, now in another interview, Bomman stated that he never claimed that he will take back the case if the director and production house give them the promised compensation. He further added that he has no idea what has happened and he does not know who sent the legal notice and he doesn’t know the advocate either. He also said that he does not have any evidence and questioned what he will do with the case.

After the video of Bomman and Bellie alleging that Kartiki Gonsalves and Sikhya Entertainment exploited them and did not give them the promised financial aid and revealed that a legal notice has been issued to them demanding Rs 2 crore as a “goodwill gesture”, the director issued an official statement refuting the claims.

Reacting to the controversy, Kartiki Gonsalves stated that all the claims being made are untrue while adding that the goal behind creating the documentary was to highlight elephant conservation and the efforts of the mahouts, Bomman and Bellie as well as the efforts by the Forest Department. Highlighting that the Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has made donations to assist 91 Mahouts and Cavadis, the director stated that winning the Academy Award has brought more recognition to the work of the tribal Mahout couple.
This comes as a shock considering the previous statement made by the mahout.
