PM Narendra Modi Meets Guneet Monga And Kartiki Gonsalves, Makers Of The Elephant Whisperers!

India held its head high at the Oscars this year. We won awards in two categories, one for Best Original Song and the other for Best Documentary. Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga’s The Elephant Whisperers won in the best documentary category that made Indians proud. They returned to India and were given a grand welcome. Finally, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the two amazing women and also shared about it on his social media account with words of praise for them.

On March 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his social media handle to share a picture of his meeting with the makers of The Elephant Whisperers– Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga. In the picture, Narendra Modi posed with Kartiki and Guneet who proudly held their Oscars award.

In the caption, the Prime Minister hailed The Elephant Whisperers for “Cinematic Brilliance”. He further expressed his happiness about the film getting acknowledged on a global level. Narendra Modi shared the news about his meeting with Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga. He also congratulated them for making India proud.

A few days back, Kartiki Gonsalves shared a sweet picture of the real-life Elephant Whisperers Bommam and Bellie holding the Oscars award. The internet users showered their love on this beautiful picture and praised the couple for their selfless work.

The Oscar-winning documentary The Elephant Whisperers is also available on Netflix. It is a documentary that beautifully captures the wildlife and nature in South India.  Many actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra among other celebrities congratulated the makers for this huge win. Another movie that made us proud at the 2023 Oscars was RRR which won in the best original song category for ‘Naatu Naatu’.
