India held its head high at the Oscars this year. We won awards in two categories, one for Best Original Song and the other for Best Documentary. Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga’s The Elephant Whisperers won in the best documentary category that made Indians proud. They returned to India and were given a grand welcome. Finally, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the two amazing women and also shared about it on his social media account with words of praise for them.

The Oscar-winning documentary The Elephant Whisperers is also available on Netflix. It is a documentary that beautifully captures the wildlife and nature in South India. Another movie that made us proud at the 2023 Oscars was RRR which won in the best original song category for ‘Naatu Naatu’.
