Twitter Trolls Sania Mirza’s For Being RCB Women’s Team Mentor. Can They First Read What Her Role Is?
Yeh trolls gavaar ke gavaar hi rahenge!Sania Mirza, one of the greatest athletes of all time, has been appointed as the mentor of the Royal Challengers Bangalore women’s team for the upcoming Women’s Premiere League. Now, if you are also one of those who only have aadha adhoora knowledge about her appointment, and are thinking that Sania is going to “coach” the team, let me give you a better understanding of her role. She is going to help the female players with the mental aspect of the game, and help them handle the pressure they will feel on the pitch. But there is no shortage of sexist people in our country who have gone online to troll Sania Mirza. There are all sorts of inappropriate jokes being made about her, and it is nothing but disgusting.
While our coaching staff handle the cricket side of things, we couldn’t think of anyone better to guide our women cricketers about excelling under pressure.
Join us in welcoming the mentor of our women's team, a champion athlete and a trailblazer! 🙌

It is shocking how quick people are to comment on issues without even fully understanding the matter at hand. Did these trolls really think that the BCCI is dumb enough to let an athlete of a different sport, coach a team of another game? Well, surely they were that dumb. People just rushed onto Twitter to make a joke out of Sania Mirza’s appointment. The illiteracy of these trolls shows that they do not even understand the difference between being a mentor and a coach. So, the joke’s on them, actually.

If it makes any sense to make Cricket team mentor a tennis player, Sania Mirza then Urvashi Rautela is far better than her at least she can attract Women's IPL viewership pic.twitter.com/UY3WeKIXr6

RCB appointed Sania Mirza as the mentor of women RCB, looks like they're going to play women IPL with tennis ball.

All these disgusting comments are absolutely infuriating. Sexist people are just ready to tear every woman down who will be doing something pathbreaking without understanding what she is even doing. Sania Mirza has had a glorious career as an athlete. Who better than her to mentor the RCB women’s team about the pressures of the game and how to handle it without letting your gameplay affect it?

Once again, she is not going to coach the team on how to play cricket. For the unversed, the head coach of the RCB women’s team is Ben Sawyer whereas the batting coach is RX Murali.
