The internet was shocked when the news about Saini S. Johray, who worked as a production designer on Dhurandhar and The Family Man was accused by a woman of r*pe. As per the reports, a case was registered against him at the Chandigarh Sector 17 police station, and he was also accused of wrongful confinement and physical violence. The authorities registered an FIR under sections 74, 79, 123, and 126 (2) of the Bharat Nyaya Sanhita. 

Saini S. Johray Arrested After Being Accused Of R*pe

As per the media reports, Saini S. Johray has been arrested by the Sector 17 police but was granted bail by a district court. The complaint mentioned that last year she was studying at the Government College of Arts in Sector 10, Chandigarh, when her resume was sent to Dhurandhar’s team through a teacher. She claimed that the accused hired her as an assistant art director for the film in September 2025 and introduced himself as a mentor. Further, the complainant reportedly mentioned that Johray invited her to his five-star hotel room in Sector 17 within four to five days of joining the film’s crew under the pretext of work discussion. The complainant stated that at first she thought it was a team meeting but later realised that other crew members were not called. She mentioned that she reached the hotel room at 8:30 pm and alleged that Johray pressured her to consume alcohol, adding that minutes after drinking, she started feeling dizzy and unwell. The woman suspected that an intoxicating substance was mixed into her drink.

More Details About The Case

The complainant reportedly alleged that Saini S. Johray allegedly touched her in an inappropriate manner under the pretext of teaching her dance moves. Later, her condition was claimed to have worsened, which resulted in vomiting. The woman reportedly mentioned that despite her health deteriorating, Johray allegedly did not let her leave the room and allegedly r*ped her. She also claimed that the accused assaulted her when she resisted. Now, many are waiting to hear a statement from the accused’s side.
