Can Ranveer Singh Really Be ‘Banned’ From Bollywood? Here’s What FWICE’s Warning Actually Means
Reportedly, a ban by FWICE is an industry-wide non-cooperative issue rather than a legal issue.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has found himself in the middle of a controversy after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) gave a “non-cooperative directive” against his alleged exit from Don 3. This has caused a nationwide debate about whether he can continue working in films. This decision has also divided the internet about whether it was the right one. Amid this, let’s know if he can work in Bollywood anymore or not.
About FWICE Ban On Ranveer Singh After Don 3 Exit
Reportedly, a ban by FWICE is an industry-wide non-cooperative issue rather than a legal issue. It translates to affiliated workers, and others asked not to work with the actor on shoots or productions. This is important since Bollywood as an industry is heavily dependent on these people, and such a move can disrupt future projects of Singh. It is important to note that this is not a government-imposed ban and does not legally prevent an actor from signing films. News24 reported that Ranveer won’t be able to shoot or make new films in India until he concludes with the producers of Don 3.
The Dhurandhar actor, who walked out of Don 3, has been banned by FWICE. The federation alleged that he did not answer the many requests to appear in person and explain his side of the story. Excel Entertainment also demanded Rs 45 crores from him as compensation for all the pre-production expenses before his exit. Meanwhile, Singh’s spokesperson stated that Ranveer doesn’t want to add to the chatter around this situation and believes that professional disagreements should be handled privately with dignity.
