On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother was admitted to Ahmedabad’s UN Mehta Hospital. In a statement, the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre mentioned that her condition is stable. According to the reports, Heeraben was facing high blood pressure but she is fine now. This news came shortly after PM Modi’s brother Prahlad Modi and other family members got injured in a car accident at Karnataka’s Mysuru, as per reports. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s MLAs Darshanaben Vaghela and Kaushik Jain have reached the hospital as well.

Prime Minister Modi recently visited his mother when he was in Gujarat for an election campaign. In June, Heeraben Modi celebrated her 99th birthday. On the special occasion, PM Modi had written an emotional blog titled ‘Mother’ in which he mentioned that his mother taught him that it is possible to be learned without being formally educated. In the blog post, he also said that his mother is as simple as she is extraordinary.
