In the latest development related to the controversy involving Pranit More and the Rs 370 biryani guy, aka Himanshu Jangra, Maharashtra cyber police have reportedly summoned them. This comes after many social media users, along with celebrities and influencers, spoke against the matter and also slammed the comedian for not stopping or calling out Himanshu for what he said on his show. Cyber Police Summons Pranit More And Himanshu Jangra!

As per the report by the Telegraph, an official revealed on Thursday that Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra were summoned by Maharashtra cyber police after the two were booked for allegedly disseminating objectionable content on social media. As part of the preliminary probe, after looking at the viral clips from his show, where Himanshu narrated his Rs 370 biryani date story, the authorities lodged a case at the Nodal Cyber Police Station. The official reportedly mentioned that one of the viral clips featuring Himanshu hinted at the entitlement of physical intimacy in exchange for money spent during the date, which portrayed women in a derogatory manner and trivialised consent. The official also mentioned that police raised concerns over clips that included Dr Sejal Pawar’s comments on the deceased male bodies, calling those remarks inappropriate and disrespectful.

The report mentioned that the clips were shared on platforms like Instagram and YouTube in a bid to garner more engagement and views. It was also reported that the National Commission of Women (NCW) has summoned Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra. On X, the chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar asked the Haryana DGP to submit a report within a week. The official also mentioned that the Maharashtra Cyber Police has asked content creators and internet users to ensure that their content complies with the law. They have also reportedly asked people to refrain from sharing the content, adding that the circulation of obscene material could lead to legal consequences.

After the controversy erupted, many influencers, including Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Sakshi Shivadsani, and more, slammed the comedian and the Rs 370 biryani controversy!
