What is wrong with people who think human lives have no value? The recent case of Jaahnavi Kandula shows us the inhumanity of humans toward each other. The young Indian woman studying in Seattle, United States was killed after being hit by a police officer’s car. The alleged culprits in this case are not even guilty of the crime that they have committed and their reaction to this young girl’s death has enraged every Indian. Recently, actress and producer Lily Singh also reacted to this incident and has kept a very strong opinion on the whole matter. She posted a video to express her rage at this incident and also highlighted the potential of Indian women.

India demands justice for Jaahnavi Kandula and YouTuber Lilly Singh has joined this voice. She posted a video on her social media handle to put forth her strong and unapologetic opinion on the whole matter. Lilly Singh expressed her shock at the fact that the investigation of the incident that happened in January started too late, and people were not even aware of it. Lilly Singh also reacted to the US police officer’s statement in which he simply dismissed Jaahnavi’s life as invaluable. In response to this, the YouTuber highlighted the struggle that an Indian girl goes through to fulfil her dreams of studying and working abroad. She also stressed the importance of Indian women and their potential. Lilly Singh further added that people with the mindset of disregarding Indian women’s potential is ridiculous. Lilly Singh expressed her wish to help in this matter in any way that she could and also hoped that her voice would reach the concerned authorities who needed to hear it.
