In the seven-page guideline, Devajit Saikia warned the IPL franchises about the infamous risks of targeted compromise and honey-trapping in high-profile sporting environments. He stated that such scandals could escalate into serious legal issues like cases related to s*xual misconduct under applicable laws. He emphasised caution and asked the franchise management to stay alert while taking proactive steps at the time to avoid such risks.

Further, the board has assigned a task force comprising members from the BCCI and IPL Operations team. They will be conducting hotel room checks, and any unauthorised access will be dealt with through strong disciplinary action, with potential penalties.
