AIDSA Suspends Dr Muskan Soni Amid Ketan Agarwal Case
AIDSA stated that Dr Muskan Soni is suspended from all offices, posts, responsibilities, committees, and official roles for five years, effective immediately. During this time, Soni is not allowed to participate to represent in any activity or exercise any rights or responsibilities linked to the association. The suspension will remain for five years unless it is modified or revoked by the competent authority. She reportedly deleted the video and issued an apology statement after the massive backlash, and stated that her comments did not mean to cause distress.
For the unversed, this happened after a video of Dr Muskan Soni “downplaying” the intensity of the unfortunate demise of Ketan Agarwal went viral. She reportedly shared a video online and stated that if Agarwal did not have hair, “he would obviously die” and even shared a hashtag stating #IHateMen. This was a comment on the report that Siya Goyal allegedly didn’t want to marry Ketan since he wore a wig due to hair loss. But his family immediately denied these rumours and revealed that his minor hair loss was caused by a medical condition, and that they had told this to Siya’s family before the engagement.
