The Ketan Agarwal murder case is getting twisted with each passing day. The deceased’s fiancé, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, are currently in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing. And now, another complication has been reported in the case because a lawyer claiming to represent Siya Goyal has sought a public apology from her brother and has warned him of a defamation suit if the demands are not. Here’s what we know about the controversy.
Siya Goyal’s Controversy
A new controversy has erupted in the Ketan Agarwal murder case. Advocate Ashutosh Srivastava has claimed to be representing Siya Goyal in the Lohagad Fort case. However, his brother Sahil Goyal dismissed authorising Ashutosh Srivastava for his sister. As per the latest updates, the advocate has served a notice to Siya’s brother regarding his statements about not authorising any legal representation for her and also questioning the advocate’s authenticity. As per The Telegraph, Advocate Ashutosh Srivastava has expressed strong emotions regarding Sahil’s statements, and said that it was appalling for him to see Sahil dismiss the Vakalatnama duly filed on record and publicly put out a statement claiming that they had not authorised him as the lawyer.
The notice also demands an immediate public apology from Sahil Goyal, and the advocate has also asked him to take back his statements. The notice also warns him of further legal consequences, proceedings and defamation of 10 crore if the demands are not met, and the response is not delivered in due time.

What Did Sahil Goyal Say?
In his statement to the media, Sahil claimed that the family had not authorised Advocate Ashutosh Srivastava for the case, and added that he must have taken it “by deceit”. He also said that Advocate Vipul Dushing was authorised to represent his sister’s case. However, Advocate Ashutosh Srivastava has claimed that the Vakalatnama was signed by Siya Goyal and was submitted to the court, the proof of which he would show when required.

Ketan Agarwal died by falling after allegedly being pushed from the Lohagad Fort in Pune, on June 18. The investigation is ongoing.
