Viral Tweet Mocking Indian Women Cricket Team’s Looks Exposes Ugly Sexism In Sports!

This world continues to prove every single day that it is not built for women. They are forced to walk on eggshells, constantly facing online scrutiny and judgement over their appearance. Indian cricketer Bharti Fulmali is the latest target. Vicious trolls have mocked her looks and even questioned her gender. Despite hitting back at them, the toxic debate refuses to die down. Netizens are now openly criticising other players’ appearances, claiming it as the reason “men don’t watch women’s cricket”.

Twitter User Shaming Indian Women’s Cricket Team Over Their Looks Is Proof Of Men’s Fragile Egos

Indian women’s cricketer Bharti Fulmali is facing online trolling and body shaming. Several social media users have attacked her looks and raised questions about her gender identity. These comments have hurt her deeply. She opened up about the emotional pain and said such remarks often bring tears to her eyes. However, she responded with courage and clarity. She stated that she is a woman and a proud cricketer and added that enough is enough.

The issue grew bigger after a post on X (formerly Twitter) shared a photo collage of four female Indian cricketers. The user claimed it was the reason why nobody watches women’s cricket in India. Many comments under the post made rude remarks. Some suggested the players looked like men due to genetics or hormones and advised them to accept it.

Following which, fans pointed out that sports should be judged by skill and performance, not by appearance. Such comments go against the spirit of the game. Women cricketers work hard to represent India at the highest level. They deserve support instead of baseless criticism.

Also, in reality, Indian women’s cricket is growing rapidly. The team has achieved major success in recent years, including winning the ODI World Cup. The Women’s Premier League also enjoys strong viewership and fan following. These achievements show rising interest among audiences, proving that “excuses” about looks do not hold true.
