On one side, we have the Gujarat government releasing Bilkis Bano’s rapists, and on the other side, a man who was accused of rape was asked to do sit-ups as a punishment for his crime. No, I’m not making this up! A man from Bihar was asked to do sit-ups as punishment by the village panchayat for allegedly raping a minor girl. A video of this man doing the sit-ups has gone viral on social media.
A man from the Nawada district in Bihar allegedly raped a minor girl and as punishment, the village panchayat asked him to perform 5 sit-ups. A video of the man performing sit-ups went viral on social media and faced quite a backlash from people on the internet.

As per reports, the man was brought in front of the village panchayat in Bihar after he was allegedly caught raping a minor girl on his poultry farm. He first promised the girl chocolates and then took her to his poultry farm where he raped her.
Once caught, he was then immediately brought in front of the village panchayat, who then announced the shocking verdict. The village panchayat justified their verdict by saying that they did not believe he was guilty of raping the minor girl and only decided to punish him for taking her to a deserted place alone.
The village panchayat in their verdict asked the man, who allegedly raped a minor girl, to perform 5 sit-ups. After he did the sit-ups, he was let go. Needless to say, no sooner the video of this incident went online, people online were outraged.
Many even tagged the CM of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, and asked them to bring the minor girl, who was raped, to justice. Even the Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Mangla, spoke about the case and said that they are investigating the matter and those who are trying to suppress the matter. As of now, an FIR has been registered against the man.
