Another case of harassment and crimes against women from Bengaluru has shocked the internet. Two men were recently arrested for r*ping two young orphaned girls aged 11 and 12. Not just this, they even uploaded these abuse videos online to make money. The girls were living alone, with the abuse lasting for over a year before the police found out. The two accused were workers at a swimming pool and a cattle grazier. Read to know more about the case here.

The police are currently investigating whether these videos were shared on online platforms and if others were involved in this situation. They are also looking out if they made money out of these videos. As soon as this case came out, it naturally angered many citizens, who then demanded stricter laws for people committing crimes against children. They also asked the authorities to carefully stop people from misusing such bad content online.

Many child welfare activists shared their worry about the safety of children who do not have parents or protection and said that they are often at risk. The two accused were identified as Kiran Kumar Nayak, 29,  from Kaidallipalya near Kaggalipura and Aditya MK from Channapatna, and were apprehended by sleuths from the Cyber Command Centre. This happened after they received an alert from the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP).

The victims were aged 11 and 12 and were from Ramanagara in Bengaluru South district. Their mother had died a year back, and their father, an alcoholic, passed away two years ago, as per TOI. Since then, the girls had been living with their maternal uncle, who reportedly was close to one of the accused and accepted money from Nayak in exchange for handing the girls over to them.
