‘Stranger Things 4’ Vol. 2 Review: Witty Dialogues, Plot Twists, And Emotional Touches Make For A Rousing Finale!

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2, dropped today and well, it was quite an explosion because it made Netflix crash. I’ve got to bow down and say that the Duffer Brothers are geniuses. Major respect. After watching these episodes, it’s clear that the first seven episodes were all about separate expansions. The season introduced us to like 4 storylines that were happening separately and merging with one another at the same time.

The fabulous main characters of Stranger Things that now feel like home to us, even though, the number keeps expanding. Each of them has been seen dealing with the fallout of Starcourt Mall, and, all the while, a new danger starts showing up in Hawkins. While some stories rushed along including the ones of Dustin, Steve, Robin, and the gang’s search for Vecna, other parts like the segments in California, were dragged along for an extended period of time. Similarly, volume 2, presented us with stories that were just as fun and twisted.

Where Does Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2 Pick Up?

The Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2 starts off moments after the major reveal that Vecna, Henry, and One are all the same person.

Nancy is shown as being held hostage in ‘Upside Down’, the reporter and the others are working hard and trying desperately to free her.
Sadly, she’s not the only one in danger as we can see Murray, Hopper, l, and Joyce are blocked by a Demogorgon in Russia.

Meanwhile, Eleven is reeling hard and trying to regain and collect her thoughts after discovering the fact that she helped create Vecna and sadly enough, Will, Mike, Jonathan, and Argyle are left together, trying to find out where Eleven’s being kept.

In the final 2 episodes, the Duffer brothers have created true magic. Everyone is all set to merge and they’re shown rushing to the very same spot. The focus is finally coming back to Hawkins, rather than being spread around to various points in the plot. This is EXACTLY what makes the finale so very perfect. It’s just beyond amazing.

What’s Up With The Length Of The Episodes?

Many people have been talking about the length of the episodes this season of Stranger Things. But, I personally, don’t think it’s a big problem.

We get to see the detailed descriptions of every story. I would argue that they allow room for a more beautiful, deep and gorgeous impact with the magic of the stories. This totally justifies stepping out of the bound of the 1-hour episodes. Many loose ends have been tied up so, this makes it all the more right.

However, it’s become way harder to binge the entire sure as we would usually do. The pace is definitely slowed down but all said, I don’t really hate it.

At the end of it all, I have got to say, Stranger Things is pure magic. Volume 2 has all the elements to make this show an absolute legend. From dialogues to nostalgia, heartfelt stories, and shocking plot twists- it kept you invested till the very darn end. The characters are emotionally connected with each of us because they’ve literally grown in front of our eyes. We have an emotional connection with them which makes this show, super special to us.

Now, as we have finally left the Duffer brothers to make the very last season of Stranger Things, we expect a beautiful season that it moves us to tears. We deserve a beautiful goodbye before we disconnect with the show forever. So, the pressure is on, without a doubt. I have to close this off by mentioning the fact this series is hands down, the best sci-fi series ever created and I would hate to see the quality go down in the last season.

There are no release dates declared for the final season yet but, tick-tock. . . we’re desperately waiting!

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 is currently streaming on Netflix.
